A Memorable Vacation in Jogja

Last holiday, Mr. Wahab and family went to Yogjakarta for a vacation, they spent 4 (four) days in there. At the first day of their vacation, just a minute after the sunrise, they started to prepare everything their needs and put it in the car which is parked nice in front of the house. After the preparation were done, they began their long trip to Yogyakarta by their car. During the journey, all of them were busy with their own activities in the car, Mrs. Wahab read a magazine, Tommy, the son of Mr. Wahab played a game by his psp,  Jesica, the daughter looked busy with her doll, and of course Mr. Wahab always focus drove the car, even some time they had a short conversation with each other. In principle all of them were really happy and enjoyed the journey.

After a long trip, finally at around 2 o’clock in the afternoon they arrived at the Nirwana Hotel Jogya, one of the famous family hotel in Yogyakarta. They entered the lobby hotel and directed to the reception desk to confirm their booking for a suite room to stay during their vacation in Yogyakarta. Its less than 10 minutes they done with the  check-in procedure and  the payment , the bell-man started to bring the suitcase and escorted them to the room. After they got a quick explanation from the bell-man regarding the room facilities they started to open the suitcase and arranged their clothes in the wardrobe, then they took a rest in the balcony for less than a hour to return their energy after a long journey.

The second day in Jogja, Mr. Wahab and family were ready to explore the environment of Yogyakarta. They started to walk around the Malioboro street, met a lot of people in there,  saw the awesome view at the left and right side a long the road, and the fresh atmosphere can made them felt more enjoy to walk around the city. Even though all of them were not too tired yet for walking, but they really wanted to ride a pedicab, a famous traditional transportation in Yogyakarta. It’s a really new experience for them saw the only an old man drove a pedicab with 4 (four) people on it.

The next destination is the Pringhadi market, the local community called pasar pringhadi, located just near by Alun-alun Yogyakarta, the place where they can found many shop which is selling many kind of souvenir and food  typical Jogja. All the family member, especially Mr. Wahab really like to eat gudeg, a traditional delicious food from Jogja. Their first evening  was great, all of them were happy and had a enjoyable time at Malioboro.

On the third day, Mr. Wahab and family went to Candi Prambanan, it’s a temple located about 17 km from the centre of Yogyakarta. Prambanan is the most beautiful hindu temple in Indonesia. Prambanan has three main temples in the primary yard name : Vishnu, Brahma and Shiva. Wahab family were so amazed saw the temple. They realized that the culture of their ancestor is very amazing. Almost half day they spent their time to walk around the temple, they took a lot of photo with the temple as a background used their own camera.

Mr. Wahab family visited Candi Borobudur at the last day of their vacation in Yogyakarta, it is also a temple, but Borobudur is the biggest  Buddhist temple in Indonesia, located approximately 100 miles southwest  of Semarang and about 40 km at northwest of  Yogyakarta. The same like what they did in Prambanan temple, Mr Wahab and family spent almost half day to explore the Borobudur temple. All of them are very happy, especially for Tommy and Jesica, this is a new experience for them, could came and saw the temple directly with their eyes at the location not just watching on the Tv like what they saw before. After the got some souvenir and took some photos, they should be back to the hotel ready to check-out at the same day.

4 (four) days in Jogja, It was amazing for the family, all of them were happy, all of them has a new experience.  And now with some souvenir typical Jogja and  more than a hundred photos saved in the memory card of their camera  they were ready to share their experiences to their friends and colleagues.
